ZIBS Shanghai Forum @ INCLUSION Conference on the Bund

 

On the afternoon of September 7, ZIBS Shanghai Forum, jointly organized by ZIBS and Ant Group, took place at Shanghai's Huangpu World Expo Park. Themed "Digital Era Compliance Governance and Smart Transformation", the forum convened global experts in finance, law, and technology. They delved into trending topics including blockchain management, compliance technology applications, risk management, and legal strategies, providing a contemporary outlook on compliance governance in the digital era.

During ZIBS Shanghai Forum, LI Chen, ZIBS Professor of Practice, Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer of Ant Group; and ZIBS Dean BEN Shenglin jointly launched the "ZIBS×Ant RegTech Talent Training Program". This initiative seeks to establish a global platform, uniting government, academia, and industry, to collaboratively design curricula, host expert lectures, and facilitate hands-on learning. Its aim is to nurture students with expertise in technology, compliance, and management, fostering innovation and industry acumen. BEN Shenglin expressed optimism, highlighting the plan’s role in fortifying ZIBS and Ant Group's collaborative framework, marking a significant milestone in their partnership.

 

    


Following the ceremony, BEN Shenglin delivered a keynote speech titled "Reforming Business Education and Nurturing Innovative Talent in the Context of the Digital Economy". He explored the backdrop of innovative talent development from the perspective of macroeconomics and industry trends. Outlining ZIBS innovative initiatives and path forward as a technology-focused business school, he stressed the imperative of reforming business education in the digital age. He urged collaborative efforts to refresh teaching methods and nurture digitally adaptable innovative talents.

Jerry Cristoforo, ZIBS Professor of Practice, Deputy Chairman of the Academic Committee of Zhejiang University's Blockchain Research Center, and former Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer of State Street, delivered a speech titled "AI Empowering Sustainable Development: Green Supply Chain Management". He pointed out that in today's landscape, supply chain management is pivotal for sustainable corporate growth. AI-powered green supply chain systems employ smart algorithms and data analysis for holistic monitoring and optimization, enhancing resource efficiency and mitigating adverse effects.

He noted that in the digital economy era, as financial innovation advances and markets mature, enterprises encounter both new opportunities and challenges. Compliance technology and other tech tools boost compliance management's efficiency, driving digitization and advancement in areas like green finance, ultimately contributing to diverse development objectives.

 

ZIBS Shanghai Forum showcased insights from compliance experts in academia, industry, and regulatory bodies who provided viewpoints spanning legal, financial, and emerging technology perspectives.

 

 

During the forum, Ant Group released the "Global Compliance Technology Observations Report", which outlined compliance systems for data domestically and internationally against the backdrop of financial technology development.

 

    
 

Over 30 representatives from ZIBS attended the event. Alvaro, a student from the international Master of Data Science (iMDS) program, expressed his honor at being invited. He conveyed his strong interest in the integration of artificial intelligence and smart investment banking and his eager anticipation of in-depth research on compliance technology at ZIBS in the future. Peerada, another international student from iMDS program, also expressed her delight at participating in the event, stating that by listening to the perspectives of experts from various fields, she has expanded her thinking on the importance of digital transformation.

 

In the future, ZIBS will join hands with Ant Group to start a new model of sustainable development with innovation in compliance.
