Second Overseas Visit in 2024: Indonesia & Malaysia

In the pursuit to expand cross-cultural exchange and educational collaboration, the ZIBS International Admissions Team embarked on a journey to Indonesia and Malaysia from February 28 to March 4. With a focus on delving into the educational landscapes of these nations and unearth opportunities for partnership under the spirit of people-to-people exchanges and learning of the Belt and Road initiative, the team succeeded in building up joint academic training agreements and channels of high-quality student sourcing among multiple schools in Indonesia and Malaysia.

Jakarta and Surabaya, Indonesia

The team received a warm embrace in Jakarta and Surabaya, where they engaged with esteemed figures such as Kim Ruthie, Principal of Gloria Christian School; Dody Kurniawan, Principal of UPH College; and Richard, Principal of Bina Bangsa School. Collaborative agreements were forged with seven institutions, paving the way for joint short-term exchange programs and the establishment of overseas enrollment centers.

At Gloria Christian School, ZIBS representatives DU Siyuan and WANG Luyao showcased ZIBS flagship undergraduate program, Bachelor of Arts in Global Communication and Management. Information sessions and fast-track interviews were conducted, igniting interest among Grade 11 and 12 students and educators.

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

On March 4, the team arrived at Hin Hua High School, a beacon of educational innovation since its inception in 1947. Renowned for its fusion of humanities and technology, the school epitomizes the spirit of "China's rejuvenation," boasting a vibrant student body of over 3000.

Methodist College Kuala Lumpur (MCKL) was the following stop for discourse, as philosophies aligned and new avenues for admissions cooperation were explored. Notably, the team celebrated the achievements of Yap Yean Ye, an MCKL alumna recognized for her stellar academic record at ZIBS and her leadership as Vice President of the Malaysian Student Association in Zhejiang Province.

In discussions with Hin Hua High School and MCKL, the ZIBS International Admissions Team delved deep into the student demographics and educational frameworks of both sides.
