Institute of Data & Risk (IDR) of Zhejiang University is initiated by the Guiyang Municipal People's Government and Zhejiang University. With Zhejiang University AIF and Guizhou University-Guiyang Institute for Innovation-driven Development Strategy as the implementers, it is a high-level research base with a focus on big data and financial risk prevention and control. It was officially established on October 14, 2016, at the Zijingang Campus of Zhejiang University. Relying on the leading advantages of the Internet finance in Zhejiang and the interdisciplinary and multi-field research that characterizes Zhejiang University, IDR focuses on the risk management of digital finance, and aims to build itself into a center for theoretical research on big data based financial risk prevention and control up to first-class standards in China and with international influence, an application innovation platform for big data based financial risk prevention and control, and a talent training base for big data based financial risk prevention and control, so as to promote the theoretical and application innovation development in the field of big data based financial risk prevention and control in China and even all over the world.
