The 7th ZIBS International Advisory Board (IAB) Meeting was held on May 18 at the International Campus. As a core strategic advisory event marking the ZIBS new stage of high-quality development, it gathered IAB members, who drew on their profound expertise to put forward-looking insights.
The meeting was attended online by H.E. President Dr. Han Seung-soo, IAB Chairman, Honorary Chairperson of UNCPGA, and President of the 56th Session of the United Nations General Assembly; Anita Bhatia, Former Assistant Secretary General and Deputy Executive Director, UN Women; and HUA Jingdong, Vice-Chair of the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB). In-person participants included Yaseen Anwar, Former Governor of the State Bank of Pakistan; Geoffrey Garrett, Dean of the USC Marshall School of Business; Greg Guyett, First Vice President and Head of Client Services Group, European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD); and Sergio Rial, Lead Director in large listed US and Brazilian Companies. ZIBS Dean XIE Xiaoyun, Vice Deans MO Shenjiang and CHEN Jingyan attended the meeting. The meeting was chaired by BEN Shenglin, Chinese Co-Chair of the ZIBS IAB.
XIE Xiaoyun extended sincere gratitude to Han Seung-soo and BEN Shenglin for their long-term dedicated guidance and strong support for ZIBS development. He noted that the meeting constitutes a vital opportunity for ZIBS to jointly formulate development strategies. He invited all board members to conduct in-depth discussions and offer valuable suggestions on topics including ZIBS strategic positioning, international development paths and core value establishment, so as to pool concerted efforts and jointly drive the high-quality development of ZIBS.

Han Seung-soo spoke highly of ZIBS development achievements, stating that he felt greatly honored to witness and take part in its growth journey. He shared his recent personal status and clarified his future responsibilities within the board. All participants fully acknowledged his consistent dedication to ZIBS progress and his outstanding contributions to its development.

BEN Shenglin reviewed the positive progress made on previous board recommendations regarding AI-enabled education, New-era Leadership, and related areas. He invited board members to focus on core topics for in-depth discussions and build consensus on future development.

MO Shenjiang presented the ZIBS development, systematically outlining recent progress and future plans across international partnerships, faculty and research capabilities, and teaching and learning innovations – laying a solid foundation for subsequent thematic discussions.

Board members held in-depth exchanges on key topics including innovative models for global partnerships, ZIBS differentiated identity and positioning, sustainable development pathways, technology‑enabled educational transformation, fintech and industrial services, and student mental health. Drawing on their practical experience in global financial governance, international business education and sustainable development, the members put forward valuable suggestions. They also fully affirmed ZIBS clear positioning and long-term vision to build science & technology-focused premier global business school rooted in China and embracing the world.






This meeting brought together world-class expertise. Building on this momentum, ZIBS will fully absorb the board's strategic insights, advance the integration of technology and business, and further its globalised approach to education – contributing with renewed resolve and strategic vision to the high-quality development of international business education in the new era.
