About ZIBS
Based in China and with a global focus, Zhejiang University International Business School (ZIBS) aims to build a science & technology-focused premier global business school from China, by upholding the 5 i philosophy of being international, interdisciplinary, innovative, inclusive and integrative, with continued emphases on 3 strategic pillars-Global ZIBS, Digital ZIBS, and the ZIBS Ecosystem.
ZIBS offers five postgraduate programs, namely Master of China Studies (MCS), international Master of
Business Administration (iMBA), international Master of Finance (iMF), international Master of Fine Arts (iMFA) and international Master of Data Science (iMDS), one undergraduate program in Global
Communication and Management (GCM) for international students, as well as executive education programs and customized training programs.
ZIBS pursues focused and distinctive development in emerging interdisciplinary fields such as fintech, digital innovation, and sustainability. Guided by a small but refined, specialized and strong approach, it has established high-level research platforms, including the Zhejiang International Base for Science & Technology Exchange: Fintech and Big Data Analysis (ZIBSciTechX). Program Introduction
The Science Fund Program for Distinguished Young Scholars (Overseas) aims to attract and encourage outstanding young scholars from overseas (including non-Chinese foreign talents) who have made achievements in natural science, engineering and technology to return to China and carry out innovative research in their own choice of research direction, promote the rapid growth of young scientific and technological talents, cultivate a number of outstanding academic backbones who are expected to reach the frontier of science and technology in the world, and contribute to building national strength in science and technology.
Preferred Research Areas
Corporate Finance, FinTech, Organization and Strategy in the Digital Era, Digital Marketing, International Business, etc.
Eligibility
Compliance with the laws and regulations of China;
☑ having good research ethics, and being good practitioner of the spirit of science.
☑ Born after Jan 1. 1986 (inclusive);
☑ A PhD degree in relevant areas;
☑ Having obtained a formal teaching or research position in an overseas university, research institution, or corporate R&D institution, and worked for more than 36 consecutive months by June 15, 2026. For those who have obtained a PhD degree overseas and have particularly outstanding performance, the limitation of work experience may be appropriately relaxed;
☑ Having obtained achievements of research or technology recognized by peer experts and having the potential to become an academic leader or outstanding talent in related field;
☑ The applicant has not yet returned to work in China (to China) on a full-time basis, or returned (came) to work in China after January 1, 2025. The applicant must resign from the overseas work or have no work overseas after being notified of the grant of funding and return (come) to work in China full-time for at least 3 years.
Restriction Requirements
These shall follow the relevant provisions on overall coordination under national science and technology talent programs. Applicants may undertake only one program at the same tier of national science and technology talent programs and may not apply for programs of a lower tier.

Research support: Start-up fund will be commensurate in line with qualifications, plus strong support for allocation of doctor/master students and postdoctoral recruitment quota. A bilingual campus with international efficient administrative and service structure.

Remuneration and benefits: Annual salary will be commensurate with qualifications and competitive with international norms.
Housing arrangement: Rental of fully furnished apartment，or purchase of an on-campus Hainashire apartment.
Other support: Enrollment of children in preferred local schools; Assist in permanent residence permit application for foreign faculty; Fine medical services provided by the two branch sections of the affiliated hospitals of ZJU in the neighborhood, etc.
