Opportunities for Research Assistants @ZIBS Projects

About ZIBS

ZIBS Research Center

The ZIBS eco-system has developed into a research and cooperation platform involving nearly 20 research institutions and agencies after a series of transitions, upgrades and iterations, with a focus on important research topics and studies that push back the frontiers of science in digital economy and digital finance.

Due to the needs of summer research work, ZIBS research team plans to recruit 13 individuals to participate in different research projects.

DAI Xinzhu

ZIBS Associate Professor

Director of ZIBS Law & Finance Research Lab. DAI Xinzhu holds her Phd in Economics from Shanghai University of Finance and Economics (SUFE) , and conducted post-doctoral research in management at Fudan University School of Management. Prior to Joining ZIBS, DAI Xinzhu served as a senior research fellow at Shanghai Gold Exchange.

1. Master's degree or higher in Economics, Finance, Law, Data Science, or related fields (including candidates currently pursuing degrees). Applicants with experience in leading or participating in recruitment-oriented research projects are preferred:

3. Strong sense of responsibility, teamwork spirit, and proven reliability in work execution;

4. Proficiency in research methodologies/tools, with capabilities in data analysis, information synthesis, and structured logical thinking.

Head of research project

LU Jiajun

ZIBS Assistant Professor

An Adjunct Researcher in Research Center for Asset Management, and Executive Director of Research Center for Digital Economics and Financial Innovations at Zhejiang University. His research interests are mainly focused on Urban and regional economics, Housing economics, and Applied spatial econometrics. He has published more than 10 research papers in academic journals, including the single-authored paper published in Regional Science and Urban Economics, and Economics Letters.

Research Group 3

Introduction of Research Project

When making strategic decisions, organizations need to consider various factors, including the cognition of decision-makers, the existing resources and capabilities of the organization, external environmental factors, among others. In the context of digital transformation, how and to what extent do these factors influence an organization’s strategic decisions? This project will primarily focus on the strategic decisions of organizations in the digital age.

LUO Lingli

ZIBS Assistant Professor

LUO Lingli received her PhD from the University of New South Wales in 2019, and joined ZIBS in 2022. Her research in the field of strategic management mainly focuses on behavioral strategy, organizational aspirations, and multinational enterprises (MNEs) in China. Her work has been published in Journal of Management Studies, Journal of Business Venturing, Journal of Business Ethics, Asia Pacific Journal of Management, Management and Organization Review, Journay of Supply Chain Management, Journal of Small Business Management, European Management Review, among others. She has led several projects, including projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation, and is a recipient of the Young Scholar Award for Research Excellence in Philosophy and Social Science in Zhejiang Province. She currently serves as an Associate Editor of Australian Journal of Management and an editorial board member of Asia Pacific Journal of Management.

Requirements:

1.Excellent proficiency in English language;

2.Ability to review and analyze relevant literature and research reports, strong skills in writing and data analysis;

3.Proficient in research methods and tools, students are required to be able to conduct regression analysis using tools such as Stata.


Research Group 4

Introduction of Research Project

1.Edit and compile monthly center reports;

2.Assist in literature review and data collection for research projects;

3.Participate in field surveys to gather internationalization case studies;

4.Support data analysis and report writing for Top 100 Chinese Private Enterprises Globalization project;

5.Engage in academic events to enhance research capabilities.

WAN Feng

ZIBS Associate Professor

Prior to joining ZIBS, he has worked at Beijing Normal University and University of East Anglia. His research interests include innovation management, industrial clusters, and competitive strategies. He has published articles in Management International Review, Technovation, Technological Forecasting & Social Change, among others.

Introduction of Research Project

1. Research on promoting green finance and sustainable development;

2. Research on the application of machine learning and large language models in quantitative finance;

3. Research on the practical development of data assets and data elements in China.

Haina Research Scientist

CFA Charterholder. He has worked at both academic field and financial institutions such as investment banks with both long-term industrial and academic experiences in Japan, United Kingdom and China, etc.
