On the morning of May 20, the 5th Plenary Meeting of the ZIBS International Advisory Board (IAB) was successfully convened. The meeting was chaired by Board Chairman Han Seung-soo, President of the United Nations General Assembly Council.
At the meeting, Dean of ZIBS BEN Shenglin presented a comprehensive report on the key initiatives over the past six months, offering a detailed overview of the latest progress made in its three strategic pillars: globalization, digitalization, and sustainability. The IAB members highly commended ZIBS achievements and provided forward-looking recommendations for future development. They engaged in in-depth discussions on critical topics such as international talent cultivation in the context of a changing global landscape, as well as the frontiers of global education and technological advancement.
There was a consensus among the members that in today’s uncertain and rapidly evolving world, ZIBS should focus on nurturing globally minded business leaders who are resilient, visionary, and committed to sustainable development. The board emphasized the importance of leveraging technology to enhance business education and using business education as a catalyst to drive technological innovation.
During the meeting, the IAB members actively participated in a variety of faculty and student activities, including the Global Leaders Series lectures, the Student Global Competency Workshop, the Start-up Program, and other academic exchange and research collaboration events. By engaging deeply with the ZIBS community, they gained comprehensive insights into development and operations, and provided valuable professional guidance.
