On the afternoon of October 13, REN Shaobo, Chairman of the Zhejiang University Council, met with the visiting delegation of Hungarian rectors at the Zijingang Campus of Zhejiang University. The delegation included leaders and representatives from nine Hungarian universities, such as Eötvös Loránd University. Representatives from ZIBS, along with relevant leaders from the Office of Global Engagement, the School of Mathematical Sciences, the International College, the School of Economics, the College of Education, the School of Management, and the College of Energy Engineering of Zhejiang University, also attended the meeting.
REN Shaobo introduced the university's achievements in discipline development and innovation, expressing a desire to deepen cooperation with Hungarian universities. The Hungarian delegation expressed their gratitude for the warm welcome and emphasized the potential for collaboration with Zhejiang University. Both sides engaged in comprehensive discussions on key topics, including engineering education, internationalization, and sustainable development.
Zhejiang University Vice President, ZHOU Jianghong, noted in his closing remarks that the meeting established a significant platform for promoting academic and institutional cooperation between Chinese and Hungarian universities.
ZIBS will reaffirm our commitment to advancing our internationalization strategy with a focus on the implementation of international cooperation, exchange programs, and specific educational projects between China and Hungary, and thereby enhancing Zhejiang University's role in China-Hungary relations.
