Assistant Professor

Dr. Hu Huan, Tsinghua University Bachelor (03) master (06), Ph.D. (2014) at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, USA. From 2014 to 2017, he did postdoctoral research at the IBM Watson Research Center in the United States. He has long been engaged in advanced micro-nano manufacturing technology, micro-nano sensing technology and microfluidic biochip technology. So far, he has published 61 peer-reviewed papers (5 cover articles) in 35 international journals, covering the fields of engineering, biomedicine, materials, chemistry and mechanics. A total of 28 US patents (18 granted) and 9 Chinese invention patents (4 granted) have been filed. He invented a novel process of producing robust nanosphere probes in 2020, and the work was published on the cover of Langmuir magazine. This invention solved the bottleneck of micro-nano scale interface testing and won media reports such as Science Network, Zhejiang News, People's Daily, etc. He has won first prizes in several entrepreneurial competitions and founded Tansheng Technology (Zhuji) Co., Ltd. to provide nanospherical probe solutions. He won the IBM Invention Patent Award and the 2022iCANx Outstanding Paper Award. Currently, he serves as a Council Member of the MEMS&NEMS Society of China and as a Young Council Member of the Chinese Society of Micro-Nano Technology. At the same time, he serves as an associate editor for Frontiers in Sensors and is a member of the youth editorial board of Nano Engineering and Precision Instruments.
