Q&A

Q1. How to promote mutual respect and co-prosperity in China-Korea relations as business schools?

Prof. Ben Shenglin:
In today’s world, we are experiencing geopolitical tensions around the world and as business schools, we are in the position where we can create a unique ecosystem to connect and promote people to people, partnerships, diplomats and so on. Commemorating the partnership between INHA and ZIBS today is a good start for us to contribute on China-Korea relations.

Q2. How does cultural exchanges promote the relations between China and Korea?

Prof. Park Kichan:
K-cultural has been playing a key part in Korea in terms of the cultural exchange between China and Korea. Also, traditional Chinese philosophies such as the teachings of Confucius and Laozi are still taught in schools in Korea. We are strongly influenced by each of our cultures which promotes our collaborations in other sectors as well.

Prof. Wang Zhengren:
I would like to mention a unique aspect of our culture exchange, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and Traditional Korean Medicine (TKM). China and Korea are geographically and culturally close and historically have great influences on each other. So far, there have been many cultural exchanges in traditional medicine between Korea and China and they will play more crucial role in the future activities of cultural exchange between both countries.

Q3. What kinds of talents are required in the future to promote the relations between China and Korea and how business schools can nurture such talents?

Prof. Park Kichan:
Attitude of the talents are really important. Their attitude toward the business and human relationships. Hard skills can be taught and can come after. We can learn from Korean and Chinese philosophers. It is our duty to transmit our ancestors’ wisdom to the future generation.

Prof. Ben Shenglin:
To add up, I can simply say, we need talents with 5Cs. Curiosity, Courage, Creativity, Collaboration skills and Competencies.
