During the visit, students attended lectures that offered an in-depth exploration of Italy's unique management insights and philosophies. Giovanni B. Professor Gianluca Centraco explored Arduino's market expansion strategies through the lenses of international business and marketing. Professor Luca Storti's lectures enriched students' understanding of Italy's social complexity and diversity. These exchanges broadened students' knowledge, sharpened their cross-cultural communication skills, and enhanced their critical thinking, preparing them for global career opportunities.

Company Visits

During the study tour, students visited several renowned Italian companies. At Juventus Football Club, they gained insights into the club's operational model and brand development, experiencing its rich history and cultural heritage as a symbol of Italian football. At Lavazza Coffee, they explored the company's journey from a small workshop to a globally recognized coffee brand, learning how Lavazza has spread Italian coffee culture worldwide. Engaging with company executives provided valuable industry insights and broadened their understanding of corporate management and branding strategies, offering practical knowledge and inspiration.

Testimonials

WANG Cheng (iMBA Program Director)

I had the pleasure of taking our iMBA students on a study tour to Italy. We were well received by the University of Turin and had the opportunity to experience the real Italy in terms of its history, culture, society, and lifestyle. By attending university talks, interacting with local students and faculty members, and visiting local organizations and attractions, our students were intellectually and culturally inspired. Moreover, they had the opportunity to practice and improve their global vision and cross-cultural ability.

TANG Qian (iMBA 2019)

The study tour in Italy left an indelible mark. The week-long curriculum was rich and multifaceted. Professor Giovanni Andornino delivered an insightful analysis of global developments from the European geopolitical perspective. Professor Luca Storti presented an intriguing lecture on the distinctions between northern and southern Italy and the history of the Mafia. A particularly memorable moment occurred on the final day when Professor Daniele Cologna passionately recounted the struggles and growth of the Chinese community in Italy during a workshop at Feltrinelli bookstore in Milan's Chinatown. It was akin to witnessing the odyssey of first-generation immigrants, from their initial wandering and hardships to their current integration and contributions, sensing their unwavering spirit and passion for life. More crucially, we witnessed the intersection and fusion of diverse ideas and cultures, inspiring us to delve into more diversity and unknowns, keeping us eternally on the path of exploration.

LU Jingxue (iMBA 2023)

In Italy, every corner whispers of history, and every instant breathes the soul of art. This study tour was a seamless blend of body and soul, where art and culture flourished together, leading us into a world where classical and modern elements coexist in harmony.

Reflecting upon this study tour, I profoundly feel that my body and soul have achieved a harmonious unity. This was a journey unforgettable, where every step not only measured the vastness of this land but also delved into the depths of its culture. This tour has further strengthened my connection to the iMBA Program and ZIBS. As a global business school, we firmly believe that ZIBS will not only emerge as a vital bridge for academic exchanges among universities worldwide but also a pivotal platform for fostering business cooperation. It is a place where academic journeys begin, cultures merge, and dreams take flight. We look forward to ZIBS guiding us toward a brighter future and connecting us with the world.
