On the Forum of Digital Transformation and Common Prosperity held on December 5, 2021, the 2021 Bank Internationalization Index was jointly released by ZIBS, Asia-Pacific Academy of Economics and Management (APAEM), Academy of Internet Finance (AIF) of Zhejiang University (ZJU), Frontier Institute of Regulation and Supervision Technology (FIRST), and Zhejiang Association of Fintech (ZAFT). The Index covers nearly 150 banks from 40 countries. Based on the first Chinese Bank Internationalization Report released by the AIF in 2015, the Index gives a glimpse of the internationalization of global banks through five major lists in three dimensions, namely organization internationalization, business internationalization and profit internationalization, and provides an in-depth analysis of the development status and changes of internationalization of Chinese banks. The Index was completed by the research team led by Shao Hui, an assistant professor from ZIBS, under the guidance of Ben Shenglin, Dean of ZIBS, and Yu Jiefang, a professor from the School of Economics of ZJU.
