From May 6 to 8, the 27th Milken Institute Global Conference was held in Los Angeles, USA, gathering nearly 4,000 politicians, philanthropists, industry leaders, leaders from international organizations, and scholars from around the world, including former US President Bill Clinton and Tesla CEO Elon Musk. They came together to share and communicate around the conference theme Shaping A Shared Future.
ZIBS Dean BEN Shenglin was invited to attend the conference and speak at the panel discussion titled China's Investment Outlook: Optimism or Caution? Other guests on the panel included Weijian Shan, Executive Chairman and Co-Founder of PAG; Fred Hu, Founder and Chairman of Primavera Capital Group; Goodwin Gaw, Founder, Chairman, and Managing Principal of Gaw Capital; and Lu Zhang, Founder and Managing Partner of Fusion Fund. The panel discussion was moderated by Susan Li, Business Correspondent of Fox Business Network.
During his stay in Los Angeles, BEN Shenglin also met with Antonio Bernardo, Dean of the UCLA Anderson School of Management; Geoffrey Garrett, a member of the ZIBS International Advisory Board and Dean of the USC Marshall School of Business; and HUA Jingdong, a member of the ZIBS International Advisory Board and Vice Chairman of the International Sustainability Standards Board (ISSB). These conversations focused on ZIBS recent progress, future global strategy, and efforts to enhance its international collaboration.
