The Sino-German Center in Finance and Economics (SGC) aims to expand and deepen Sino-German relations, and create an international research and dialogue platform.
The center aims to strengthen the scientific research, strengthen and optimize the academic ecosystem, present relevant characteristics in scientific research on the international campus, and expand the areas of teaching and scientific research cooperation with well-known universities at home and abroad.
The center will carry out a series of Sino-German and even Asia-Europe studies with academic significance and industry influence in economy, finance and interdisciplinary fields. The main research topics include but are not limited to: How do the two countries envision their financial and trade relations based on joint efforts by 2025? How will China and Germany and the two continents be closely linked with the Belt and Road Initiative? What specific experiences of both sides can contribute to demonstrating the framework of the international financial system? Other popular and frontier issues in bilateral economic and financial cooperation.
