On September 26, ZIBS delegation visited Ascential Group at its headquarter in London and engaged in a deep conversation with Ascential Group's leadership team, exploring the prospects of the financial technology sector. The collaboration between ZIBS and Ascential Group is once again gaining momentum.
During the visit, Duncan Painter, Chief Executive of Ascential PLC; Philip Thomas, Chief Executive of Ascential Futures (Intelligence & Events) and Tracey Davies, President of Money20/20 warmly welcomed the ZIBS delegation. Both parties reviewed their past collaborations, particularly the MoU signed during ZIBS Inauguration Ceremony on November 15, 2018, marking the beginning of the partnership. As one of the world's largest conferences focused on payment and financial service innovation, Money20/20 has long been a close partner of ZIBS, witnessing and contributing to ZIBS development.
WAN Feng, Associate Professor of ZIBS and Executive Director of ZIBS Center For Chinese Multinationals (CCM), shared insights into the development of Chinese private enterprises in overseas markets and highlighted the latest progress in the Top 100 Private Enterprises project. XIE Zhikai and LI Zhenhai, Co-founders of ZIBS eco-partner, China-Britain Artificial Intelligence Association (CBAIA), engaged in deep discussions with Ascential Group on the application of algorithms in financial technology and artificial intelligence. ZIBS student representative HUANG Xiaoyan also participated in the discussions. Ascential Group also expressed the willingness to offer short-term internship opportunities to ZIBS students, contributing to nurture the next generation of leaders in the financial technology field.
The visit further enhanced the relationship between ZIBS and Ascential who look forward to advancing closer and deeper cooperation in the field of financial technology in the future.
