On June 13, the University of Torino delegation paid a visit to ZIBS, during which the delegation had fruitful discussions with ZIBS leadership as well as ZIBS faculty and students. Both parties agreed to seek further deepening of cooperation on the Master of China Studies Program, ZIBS Italy Center, and Haining-Italy business exchanges.
BEN Shenglin, Dean of ZIBS, extended a warm welcome to Professor Andornino's delegation while expressing a keen interest in facilitating deeper collaboration between the two institutions in the future.
On Tuesday morning, moderated by Professor FANG Fan from Zhejiang University's School of International Studies, Professor Giovanni B. Andornino delivered a lecture to ZIBS students and faculty, entitled "Perspectives on China-Italy people to people relations: the case of philanthropy".
In his address, Professor Andornino highlighted the significance of cross-cultural communication in philanthropy, drawing from his experience in the field. He also encouraged the students to develop their cross-cultural communication skills and combine their knowledge of Chinese society with a global perspective in order to prepare them for future international endeavors and challenges.
Following the lecture, Professor Andornino's delegation engaged in a productive discussion with ZIBS. ZIBS Vice Dean QU Haidong pointed out that the University of Turin has been collaborating with ZIBS on the MCS program for over a decade, providing a steady stream of high-quality students each year, making both parties important partners to one another.
Professor Andornino indicated that the University of Turin highly values its cooperation with ZIBS, and students from the University generally give high praise to the teaching and curriculum of the MCS Program, especially ZIBS business course which has significantly contributed to the development of students’ knowledge and skills.
During the afternoon, Professor Andornino's delegation made a visit to prominent Haining companies, TDG Holding and Haining China Leather City. Impressed by the surge of dynamic impetus and innovation of the local businesses, Professor Andornino expressed his wish to further deepen exchanges and business cooperation between Italian and Haining enterprises.
With the visit, Professor Andornino's delegation has further enhanced the friendship between the two institutions and laid a strong foundation for further and wider collaboration in the future.
