International Applicants (Non-Chinese)
Application Eligibility
1. General requirements
1.1 Applicants must be non-Chinese citizens with proper moral conduct, in good health with no infectious disease or any physical or mental diseases that may affect the normal study, have a bachelor’s degree (Applicant who has not got the degree certificate when applying shall provide the pre-graduation certificate first, then provide the academic degree certificates no later than registration) and be under the age of 35 (Age limit is flexible for healthy applicants with certain work experience and high academic ability).
1.2 Minimum bachelor’s degree in any given major
2. Requirements on Citizenship
Requirements of the regulations set in the Documents 12 (2020) of Ministry of Education of the PRC should be met(
Link).
2.1 Applicants who have given up their original Chinese citizenship (including residents in Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan) and become foreign citizens, must acquire foreign citizenship before April 30, 2020, and must have lived abroad more than 2 years from April 30, 2020 to April 30, 2024 (more than 9 months of residence abroad per year can be considered as one year, taking entry and exit stamps as evidence).
2.2 If the applicants has acquired foreign citizenship automatically at the time of birth in a foreign country, whose parents were both Chinese citizens, or one of the parents was a Chinese citizen, parent’s (with Chinese citizenship) permanent resident in foreign country should be obtained prior to the birth of the applicant. Applicants must have lived abroad more than 2 years from April 30, 2020 to April 30, 2024 (more than 9 months of residence abroad per year can be considered as one year, taking entry and exit stamps as evidence).
Note: If the applicant is concluded to have Chinese citizenship by the Chinese public security department after application, admission or enrolment, the applicant will be disqualified from application, admission or enrolment, or withdrawal from school will be required.
3. Language proficiency requirements:
3.1 Applicants must have an internet-based TOEFL test score 80 or IELTS test score 6.5 (or above), or other proof which can reflect the applicants’ English proficiency (except for English native speakers, or those who obtained their bachelors’ degree in English-taught programs). 3.2 No Chinese language proficiency is required for the program.
TOEFL DI Code of Zhejiang University International Business School is C603. TOEFL MyBest score is accepted.
Documents for Application
Applicants must log in to the Online Application System for International Students of Zhejiang University, fill in clearly and upload completely the original or notarized scanned copies of the following materials as required.
1. A photocopy of passport.
2. Highest degree certificates. Highest degree certificates. If applicants are university students, they shall provide an official pre-graduation certificate. The original or notarized copy of the academic qualification certificate must be submitted after admission (the degree certificate must be obtained no later than registration).
3. Academic transcripts during Bachelor’s degree study, which must be original documents or notarized copies.
4. Language proficiency certificates.

5. Personal statement, in Chinese or English, should include study and work experience, reasons for application and study proposal. 1500 words.
6. Two letters of recommendation from full professors or associate professors. (Professors’ signature, contact phone number and email address must be put on the letter.)
7. Published academic papers or other academic achievements. (If applicable)
8. Applicants are encouraged to provide GRE、GMAT test score.
9. Applicants who have given up their original Chinese citizenship and become foreign citizens shall provide:
9.1 Documents certifying the cancellation of Chinese citizenship;
9.2 Documents certifying the cancellation of Chinese household registration;
9.3 Documents certifying the acquirement of foreign citizenship
10. If the applicant has acquired foreign citizenship automatically at the time of birth in a foreign country, whose parents were both Chinese citizens, or one of the parents was Chinese citizen shall provide:
10.1 Documents certifying the acquirement of foreign citizenship at the time of birth;
10.2 Documents certifying parent’s (with Chinese citizenship) permanent residence in foreign country before the birth of the applicant.
Note:
1.After submitting the above materials in the online system, please pay the application fee in the system or upload the remittance voucher of the application fee.
2.The above application materials must be in Chinese or English, and notarized copies of translations must be provided for texts in other languages.
3. Please do NOT post the hard copies of the application materials or send them by e-mail. The paper application materials and the application materials sent by e-mail will not be reviewed and processed.
4. Supplementary materials or video interviews may be required when necessary.

- ZIBS Hai Scholarship
The ZIBS Hai Scholarship is established to reward individuals with outstanding potentials. It is opened to all ZIBS international applicants. The scholarship will be paid to students after the students arrive in the international campus physically. Students are, however, required to pay the tuition in full upon registration. Applicants should fill in the Hai Application Form and submit it together with other application materials via the application system. *The final interpretation of the ZIBS Hai Scholarship belongs to the ZIBS Admission Office.
*For applicants who need a pre-admission letter as one of the materials to apply for scholarship, we encourage you to submit your application and pay the application fee before December 31, 2023. You will receive the pre-admission letter after you pass the interview.

Applicants from Chinese Mainland
Application Qualification
1)Applicants shall be a citizen of the People's Republic of China.
2)Applicants shall support the leadership of the Communist Party of China and are willing to serve the socialist modernization. You shall have good moral character and abide by applicable disciplines and laws.
3)Generally, applicants shall be no more than 40 years old. There is no age limit for those who apply under the contractual or self-financed programs.
4)Applicants shall be in physical health status in line with the physical examination requirements of the state and our university.
5)Applicants must have a Bachelor's degree or above recognized by the state.

1)Online application: Applicants shall visit
http://yz.chsi.com.cn for the application instructions and make an application. For details, please refer to the postgraduate admissions website of the university.
2)On-site confirmation: All applicants (excluding recommended candidates exempted from examinations) shall confirm the online application information at the designated application site within the specified time, pay the fee and help collect relevant electronic information such as your own photo. For details, please refer to the postgraduate admissions website of the university.
3)Preliminary examination: Applicants are required to take the National Entrance Examination for Master of Finance. The subjects in the examination are Ideological and Political Theory, English I, Comprehensive Economic Ability, and Comprehensive Finance.
4)The secondary examination include English Listening and Oral English Test, and an interview on comprehensive knowledge of the major.

Applicants from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan, China
Application Qualification
1)Applicants' identity document shall meet one of the following conditions:
Applicants from Hong Kong and Macao shall hold ① Hong Kong or Macao permanent identity card and ② Mainland Travel Permit for Hong Kong and Macao Residents or Residence Permit for Hong Kong and Macao Residents.
Applicants from Taiwan shall hold ① valid identity certificate for residence in Taiwan and ② Mainland Travel Permit for Taiwan Residents or Residence Permit for Taiwan Residents.
2)Applicants for Master's degree programs must have a Bachelor's degree or diploma that is equivalent to that in the Chinese mainland (A degree obtained abroad must be accredited by the Chinese Service Center for Scholarly Exchange, the Ministry of Education).
3)Applicants shall have good moral character and be in good health.
4)Applicants shall have reference letters from two scholars with associate professor or above or equivalent professional titles related to the intended major.

Application for Master's programs by candidates from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan includes online application and online (on-site) confirmation. All candidates from Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan who will participate in the entrance examination for Master's Programs must apply online and confirm the online application information and pay the fee online (on site). For details, please refer to the postgraduate admission website of the university.
1)Online application: Applicants shall visit
http://www.gatzs.com.cn for the application instructions and make an application.
2)Online (on-site) confirmation: All applicants shall confirm the application information online (on site) within the specified time according to the requirements of the application sites. The specific time and method shall be confirmed and announced by each application site, and no re-application will be made after the deadline.
3)Printing an examination attendance docket: Applicants shall visit http://www.gatzs.com.cn with the user name and password for online application and download and print an examination attendance docket within the specified time. Applicants can participate in the preliminary and secondary examinations with the printed examination attendance docket and valid personal identity documents.
4)Preliminary examination: The subject is English, and online examination is adopted. The school determines the minimum passing score for the preliminary examination and, based on the minimum passing score, shortlist candidates for the secondary examination. If your proficiency in English language meets the following conditions, you can directly participate in the secondary examination: CET-6 (460 or above), WSK (PETS 5) or TEM-8, or a Bachelor's degree or above from English-speaking countries; or IELTS 5.5 or above or TOEFL 80 or above. Applicants who meet the above conditions must send the application for exemption of foreign language examination (download) and relevant supporting materials to us before the specified time.
Secondary examination: The secondary examination is a comprehensive examination by the school, and the specific form and content are determined by each school (department) according to the characteristics of the discipline and the requirements of the major.
