Application Eligibility
1. General requirements
1.1 Applications must be non-Chinese citizens and valid passport holders.
1.2 Under the age of 35 for graduate program (Age limit is flexible for healthy applicants with certain work experience and high academic ability). Applicants must be Bachelor's degree holders (Those who provide pre-graduation certificate or student status certificate at application MUST provide Bachelor's degree diploma no later than registration).
1.3 With proper moral conduct, in good health with no infectious disease or any physical or mental disease that may affect the normal study.
2. Requirements on Citizenship
Requirements of the regulations set in the Documents 12 (2020) of Ministry of Education of the PRC should be met（Link）.
2.1 Applicants who have given up their original Chinese citizenship (including residents in Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan) and become foreign citizens shall provide the documents certifying the cancellation of Chinese citizenship and household registration, according to the policy of the Ministry of Education of the PRC.
Note: If the applicant is concluded to have Chinese citizenship by the Chinese public security department after application, admission or enrollment, the applicant will be disqualified from application, admission or enrollment or withdrawal from school will be required.
3. Language proficiency requirements
3.1 If applicants’ native language is not English, they should provide score report of English language test. English Language Entry Requirements: TOEFL (minimum 90), IELTS (6.5 or higher) or other proof of proficiency. TOEFL DI Code of ZIBS is C603. TOEFL MyBest score is accepted.
3.2 For applicants that are applying for IMFA, are required to have HSK certificate of level 5 or above.
Documents for Application
A photocopy of passport front page. The passport should be valid before December 31, 2024.
Highest degree certificates. If applicants are university students, they shall provide an official pre-graduation certificate. The original or notarized copy of the academic qualification certificate must be submitted after admission (the degree certificate must be obtained no later than registration).
Academic transcripts during Bachelor’s degree study.
Language proficiency certificates. （ Download）
A 1500-word personal statement, in Chinese or English, should include study and work experience, reasons for application and study proposals.
Two letters of recommendation from full professors or associate professors. (Professors’ signature, contact phone number and email address must be put on the letter.)
Published academic papers or other academic achievements. (If applicable)
Applicants are encouraged to provide GRE/GMAT test score.
Applicants who have given up their original Chinese citizenship and become foreign citizens shall provide:
9.2 Documents certifying the cancellation of Chinese household registration;
9.3 Documents certifying the acquirement of foreign citizenship
If the applicant has acquired foreign citizenship automatically at the time of birth in a foreign country, whose parents were both Chinese citizens, or one of the parents was Chinese citizen shall provide:
10.2 Documents certifying parent’s (with Chinese citizenship) permanent residence in foreign country before the birth of the applicant.
Fees
1. Application Fee: RMB 800 (non-refundable)
2. Tuition Fee: RMB 40,200 / year, three years.
3. Way of Payment: Application fees and tuition fees should be paid in the online application system. If one fails to make the online payment, then one MUST pay the application fee to the University’s Bank Account（ Link）, and upload the remittance letter to the System.
Scholarship
The Application Form for Zhejiang Government Scholarship (Click the filename to download) and submit it together with other application materials via the application system.
The ZIBS Hai Scholarship is established to reward individuals with outstanding potentials. It is opened to all ZIBS international applicants. The scholarship will be paid to students after the students arrive in the international campus physically. Students are, however, required to pay the tuition in full upon registration. Applicants should fill inthe Hai Application Form and submit it together with other application materials via the application system. *The final interpretation of the ZIBS Hai Scholarship belongs to the ZIBS Admission Office.
*For applicants who need a pre-admission letter as one of the materials to apply for scholarship, we encourage you to submit your application and pay the application fee before December 31, 2023. You will receive the pre-admission letter after you pass the interview.
